Arbour Day 2021

Saturday, August 14, 2021

Please join us for Arbour Day 2021 on Saturday, Aug. 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Leduc Lions Park (56 Ave and 43 St.) and help plant a tree in our community. Registration is not required, just turn up rain or shine. A brief program and demonstration is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m.

Planting will take place at the east end of the parking lot. Participants are encouraged to wear old clothing they don’t mind getting dirty. Please bring a shovel and water bottle. A face painter will also be available on the day, and participants are welcome to enjoy a complimentary hot dog and pop.

Arbour Day is a wonderful way to enjoy Leduc green spaces, while improving them and enhancing them for future generations to also enjoy. Our goal at this event is to plant over 630 trees to enhance the existing natural area.

To plant a tree, you will be required to sign a liability form. These will be available at the event; however, you can print and complete the form in advance if you wish.

This is a joint event hosted by the City of Leduc, Leduc Environmental Advisory Board and Communities in Bloom.
