Community Helpers

In partnership with Leduc FCSS, the Community Helpers program offers training and support to strengthen the natural abilities of young people (grades 9 to 12) in their helping role with their peers. Helpers will learn and develop a variety of skills including effective communication, self-care, coping with stress, knowing when to refer peers to professional support services, handling crisis situations and suicide awareness.

The program will also connect helpers to community and professional support resources.

DATE: Dec. 3, 2021

TIME: 12 to 4 p.m.

LOCATION: Virtual
