Business Engagement and Support

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic’s effects on our local business community, the City of Leduc formed an Economic Support and Recovery Task Force in April 2020. The task force membership is made up of representatives from Leduc City Council; the Leduc, Nisku & Wetaskiwin Regional Chamber of Commerce; the Downtown Business Association; and city administration who work in close partnership to engage with the local business community to identify their areas of need and to design relevant, practical responses to those challenges.

The task force hosts regular virtual town halls to connect with members of the local business community to hear their opinions and concerns, answer their questions, and identify new opportunities for the task force to support local businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic. Town hall panelists include government representatives, local business owners, business support and advocacy representatives, and members of city administration. All town halls are recorded and the full videos are posted below, as well as on the City of Leduc’s YouTube channel.
