City of Leduc Seeks Nominations for Leduc Sports Hall of Fame
The City of Leduc is seeking nominations for athletes, teams, leaders or builders who deserve to be honoured for the positive impact they’ve made on the Leduc region through their contributions to the local sport community. Nominations for the 2021 induction year are open from now until the end of May.
Each year since 2015, the Leduc Sports Hall of Fame panel has sought to pay tribute to those members of the local athletic community who have made considerable contributions to their sport at the local, provincial, national, international and professional levels. The 2020 induction gala had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year’s gala is tentatively scheduled to proceed on November 6, 2021, pending any relevant provincial health restrictions.
The Leduc Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee is also currently accepting applications for members of the sport community to join their group.
