Public Notices

Public notices are used to inform the public of opportunities to have their say in local government business. Notices are published 14 days in advance, as required by the Municipal Government Act (MGA) and the Advertising Bylaw, with information on how, when and where the public can request further information or provide comments to Council or City Staff.

Bylaw 1212 -2025 – Proposed amendment to the Land Use Bylaw

  • Public notice for Bylaw 1212-2025 proposes redistricting for an area in Robinson to allow for continued residential development.
  • Second and third readings are scheduled for the regularly scheduled meeting of Leduc City Council on Apr. 14, 2025.
  • First reading on Mar. 24, 2025.

Bylaw 1211 -2025 – Fraser Area Structure Plan and MR Disposal 

  • Public notice for Bylaw No. 1211-2025  proposes to repeal an outdated Area Structure Plan (ASP) and adopt a new plan, Fraser Area Structure Plan, that outlines land use, transportation and servicing plans to enable mixed residential and commercial neighbourhood development.
  • The bylaw also proposes to dissolve the designation for an area allocated as Municipal Reserve in order to expanded a storm water pond.
  • The public hearing is scheduled for the regularly scheduled meeting of Leduc City Council on Apr. 28, 2025. Second and third readings of the bylaw are scheduled for later in the same meeting.
  • First reading on Apr. 14, 2025.

Bylaw 1215 -2025 – Proposed amendment to the Land Use Bylaw

  • Public notice for Bylaw 1215-2025 proposes redistricting for a section in the Fraser neighbourhood for the first stage of development that will include residential development, an expanded storm water pond,  and park spaces with multiway connections.
  • The public hearing is scheduled for the regularly scheduled meeting of Leduc City Council on Apr. 28, 2025. Second and third readings of the bylaw are scheduled for later in the same meeting.
  • First reading on Apr. 14, 2025.

Bylaw 1218 -2025 – Proposed amendment to the Land Use Bylaw

  • Public notice for Bylaw 1218-2025  proposes redistricting for an area in Black Stone (part of the E ½ of NW ¼ Section 22-49-25-W4) to allow for continued residential development and a school site with a public park.
  • The public hearing is scheduled for the regularly scheduled meeting of Leduc City Council on Apr. 28, 2025. Second and third readings of the bylaw are scheduled for later in the same meeting.
  • First reading on Apr. 14, 2025.

Bylaw 1219 -2025 – Proposed amendment to the Land Use Bylaw

  • Public notice for Bylaw 1219-2025  proposes redistricting for an area in Woodbend to allow for continued residential development.
  • The public hearing is scheduled for the regularly scheduled meeting of Leduc City Council on Apr. 28, 2025. Second and third readings of the bylaw are scheduled for later in the same meeting.
  • First reading on Apr. 14, 2025.

Presentations/submissions: Anyone who wishes to speak to Council at the time of the public hearing or provide a written submission is asked to contact the City Clerk’s Office (780-980-7156 or city_clerk@leduc.ca) to pre-register, or can register on the sign-in sheet in Council Chambers before the start of the meeting.
