The City of Leduc Family Resource Network (FRN) provides support and services to help families become resilient, strong, and healthy. From prenatal and newborn care to teenage development, the FRN is here for parents and caregivers.

Parenting and Caregiver Support

Parenting programs foster strong families and empower caregivers with the tools they need to thrive. Workshops focus on parenting strategies, nurturing strong relationships and attachments, and understanding developmental stages. These programs include Emotional Coaching, What’s Up with Teens, and Circle of Security.

One-to-one parent coaching helps caregivers develop their parenting knowledge and skills to provide safe, responsive, and nurturing environments. These sessions may focus on effective communication, strategies for positive parenting and discipline, and fostering emotional regulation in children and teens.

This program provides in-home parenting education and family support services to expectant parents and those with children newborn to 6 years of age, who may be experiencing some barriers or challenges. Home Visitation is a voluntary, free program for families. The focus of these visits may include working with the family’s strengths, values and goals to build on parenting skills and child development knowledge, while supporting positive parent-child interaction and other aspects of positive family functioning.

Provides age-appropriate programs geared towards promoting healthy development. This includes parent and child programs such as Play, Learn,Grow & Kimochis as well as childhood developmental screenings (ASQ-3 & ASQ:SE-2)

Services are delivered directly or in collaboration with other community partners through a “hub and spoke” model. The City of Leduc FRN is the network (hub) which coordinates with local groups (spokes) to support you.
