The City of Leduc is committed to helping older adults live healthy, connected, and independent lives. Through FCSS, seniors and caregivers can access free, confidential and personalized support to navigate programs, plan for changing needs, and stay connected to community life.

Whether you’re a senior seeking information, an adult child supporting aging parents, or a caregiver managing changing responsibilities, our team is here to help!

How we can help

Seniors Outreach services provide up-to-date information on programs and services that support healthy aging, helping older adults and their families understand available resources, benefits and community supports.

We offer personalized, individual assistance to help older adults and adults with disabilities navigate essential services, connect to community programs, access mobility, transportation and other benefits, and understand benefits and eligibility.

Our team assists seniors and caregivers with completing important applications, including: LATS transportation applications, subsidy applications, provincial and federal seniors’ benefits, and other 65+ related services and supports.

Regular check-ins help seniors stay connected, especially those who may feel isolated or need help navigating changing circumstances. We also provide referrals to health supports, community organizations, social programs, and safety and wellness services.

Assistance with light housekeeping to seniors who are living on their own and are physically unable to maintain their home. Fees are calculated according to a sliding scale based on the client’s annual income.
