Leduc Heritage Grain Elevator
Built in 1978, the Alberta Wheat Pool Grain Elevator Site is a prominent local and provincial landmark. It features one of the last single composite wood crib grain elevators to be built in Alberta, and the last of many built in the 20th century.
Merging the traditional wood crib construction with more contemporary distribution and ventilation systems, the grain elevator has a 3,050-tonne capacity, with an attached office building and two warehouses.
Located in central Leduc and maintained by the Alberta Legacy Development Society, this site is a testament to Alberta's agricultural history.
