The City of Leduc contracts the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Canada’s national police service, to ensure our community is safe for all residents to live, work, and play.

Leduc RCMP operates under a ‘post system’ concept, which involves seamless and coordinated delivery of policing services across municipal boundaries that integrate municipal and provincial resources.

RCMP Crime Map

The Leduc detachment is very active in the community, participating in various initiatives such as:

  • Rural Crime Watch
  • Youth Justice Committee
  • Leduc Community Drug Action Committee
  • RCMP Police and Crisis Team
  • School Resource Officer
  • Crime Stoppers
  • Bike Patrol
  • The Family Violence Prevention Team

Services

The City of Leduc’s RCMP provides several essential services to support community safety and accessibility.

Residents can report non-emergency incidents, theft and vandalism through the Online Crime Reporting system (24-hour service for theft and property crimes under $5,000), or by calling 310-RCMP, or 310-7267. The RCMP also offers fingerprinting and Criminal Record Checks, including Vulnerable Sector Checks for those working with children or vulnerable groups.

In 2024, the Collision Reporting Centre (CRC), operated by Accident Support Services International Ltd. (ASSI) opened at the Leduc RCMP detachment, reducing wait times for those reporting vehicle collisions with injuries or damage exceeding $5,000. Vehicle collisions can also be reported through e-Collision reporting, a provincially-based system for reporting motor vehicle collisions where damages exceed $5,000 or if there are injuries.

Leduc RCMP will do fingerprints for City of Leduc and Leduc County residents only.
