Waste Management Facility

The City of Leduc is a member municipality at the Leduc and District Regional Waste Management Facility (LDRWMF) where residents are welcome to take waste directly.

The facility continues to be open during the current COVID-19 emergency.

Residential traffic has increased significantly at the LDRWMF due to more activity related to home renovations and clean-ups. The Authority is currently developing a new public drop-off facility, which is expected to be ready later this fall. In the meantime, residents are asked to:

• Minimize trips to the facility where possible. For example, wait until you have a larger load instead of making multiple trips.

• Please use your local Recycle Depot or Eco Station for loads of recyclables.

• If you have to come to the LDRWMF, aim to arrive between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., as scales are busiest at the start and end of the day.

• Regular hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

Fees

A resident card is required to dispose of waste at the Waste Management Facility. Cardholders are able to dispose of 1 tonne (1,000 kg) of household waste per year at no charge (with the exception of appliances containing Freon).
