Leduc Youth Council

Youth Leadership Platform

Youth Council provides a forum for young individuals aged 16—22 to participate in local government by researching, advising, proposing, and planning actions in the community to City Council.

Youth Ambassadors is a City program designed to actively engage youth ages 13—15 who are not yet eligible to sit on Leduc Youth Council, but have an interest in getting involved and learning more about local government. Upon turning 16, Youth Ambassadors are strongly encouraged to apply to participate in Leduc Youth Council.

The Youth Outreach Worker is a free resource that provides services for youth (ages 12-19) who live in Leduc by engaging them in healthy activities and working one-on-one with them to increase their assets and connection to the community.
