2023 Construction Season Underway
Leduc’s 2023 construction season is nearing, and all planned projects are available online in our interactive map for residents to learn more about, and to submit any questions they may have as crews begin work.
“Investing in Leduc’s roadways and streets is a necessity to sustain the city’s infrastructure and to continually improve our daily and future lives,” said Leduc Mayor Bob Young. “The ease in which residents can safely travel and access amenities boosts our quality of life and helps us build a safe, healthy, creative, and caring community.”
This year’s projects include road reconstructions and overlays, back lane reconstructions, utility upgrades, community fencing, and the 65th Avenue and QEII Interchange project.
Notable projects designated for this summer include:
- 65th Avenue and QEII Interchange project;
- Installation of 12 new pickleball courts in Lede Park;
- Utility work along 48A Street which will temporarily re-route entry into the Leduc Civic Centre;
- Utility work in South Telford;
- Road reconstruction in Linsford, Corinthia, and Meadowview;
- Surface overlays for 50th Street, 50th Avenue, and Black Gold Drive.
Please follow the posted signage in construction zones for the latest traffic pattern changes and reduce your speed as you’re passing workers. The full detailed project list, including ongoing progress updates, photos, timelines, and more, is available at www.leduc.ca/construction.
