City Celebrates Waste Reduction Week

The City of Leduc is pleased to celebrate Waste Reduction Week, which will be recognized nationally from Oct. 18 - 24 this year. This marks the 21st year of Waste Reduction Week in Canada. 

Area residents and businesses are encouraged to consider participating in local recycling and waste reduction opportunities, such as: 

• The Recycle Coach app - supporting waste sorting
• The award-winning Eco Station
  • Expanded electronics recycling program
  • Clear, clean glass recycling
  • New white block Styrofoam recycling

Recycling Roundup

To wrap-up Waste Reduction Week, residents are invited to bring their old tires, paint, electronics, and hazardous household waste to the Eco Station for the annual Recycling Roundup event on Saturday, Oct. 22 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
