Leduc invites input on the Municipal Development Plan and Transportation Master Plan updates

Friday, May 19, 2023

The City of Leduc is inviting residents to share their thoughts and insights on how to best plan for the growth of the community through multiple engagement opportunities.

Municipal Development Plan Update

The City of Leduc is seeking resident feedback on updates to the Municipal Development Plan (MDP) to reflect the recent amendments to the Airport Vicinity Protection Area (AVPA). The MDP updates aim to enable sustainable growth and densification in the community in the previously regulated contour areas under the AVPA.

The MDP influences how residents interact with both built and natural environments on a day-to-day basis. This includes the roads they drive on, the businesses they shop in, and the development of the multiway as our city continues to expand.

Drop in at the open house or fill out the survey to give your input on changes that will redistrict areas in the southeast of the Leduc, encourage high density, add more residential and introduce mixed-use nodes.

Give your feedback

  • Fill out the online survey by 11:59 p.m., on June 11, 2023.
  • Drop in at the open house on June 6, 2023, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. at the Leduc Recreation Centre.

Transportation Master Plan Update

The City of Leduc is inviting residents, businesses and all stakeholders to share their thoughts and insights on how we can continue to plan and build a transportation network that will serve a safe, healthy community and robust economy.

The Transportation Master Plan (TMP) is long-term plan for the city’s transportation network. The TMP update will ensure we have a relevant and critical plan in making wise investment choices in our transportation infrastructure. This includes roads, sidewalks, trails, transit and goods movement, as these decisions will shape the future mobility of our city.

Give your feedback

Share your input on the city’s current transportation network through the interactive online map. The map will be open until June 30, 2023.

We want to know:
