Leduc residents invited to weigh in on budget priorities for 2025
The City of Leduc is kicking off planning for its 2025 municipal budget by asking residents to share their thoughts about the City’s fiscal priorities in the coming year.
The 2025 Budget Planning Survey is open until May 31, 2024, and invites residents to share their input and help shape the city’s priorities and future. The survey is run by a third-party contractor to ensure an unbiased perspective in the delivery and evaluation of the survey, and to provide results that are representative of the Leduc population.
“Hearing from our community each year through the Budget Survey is an important part of our planning process, as it helps to inform our focus and direction for the priorities we identify in the upcoming budget,” says City of Leduc Mayor Bob Young. “There are many variables to consider in developing a responsible, balanced budget, but getting input from our residents is a solid starting point and helps keep us accountable to the community we serve.”
To participate in this year’s survey, residents can:
- Check their mailbox for the budget survey postcard being delivered May 1st, or
- Answer the phone if they get a call from Advanis.
All responses to this survey will be compiled by the contractor and presented to City Administration and Leduc City Council in late June. Survey findings will help guide decisions during the budget planning process which will begin later this summer. Results of the survey will be posted on the City’s website and social channels when they are available.
All survey participants will be entered into a random prize draw for a $150 gift card to the local business of their choice.
