Leduc Transit offers free transit pass to post-secondary students this winter
Leduc Transit is now offering a free transit pass to eligible post-secondary students attending in-person classes in Edmonton this winter. The free pass is being offered to help provide financial relief for students after the U-Pass program was temporarily discontinued earlier this year.
Students must attend either the University of Alberta, NAIT, MacEwan University or NorQuest College to be eligible, and will be required to provide the following information when they pick up their pass:
- Their name and student identification number;
- Which post-secondary institution they are attending; and
- Proof of registration.
The pass must be picked up at the Leduc Civic Centre before Jan. 29 and will valid on Leduc Transit and ETS Route 747 until April 30.
If the pass is misplaced or lost, students will be required to purchase a replacement at the regular fare ($90 per month). Additionally, students will be required to purchase a Youth pass ($72.50) for Edmonton Transit Services if they wish to travel beyond Century Park.
