National Volunteer Week 2019

Monday, April 8, 2019

From April 7 to 13, Volunteer Canada, the City of Leduc and Volunteer Leduc will celebrate Canada’s 12.7 million volunteers during National Volunteer Week (NVW).

NVW is Canada’s largest annual recognition of volunteers, volunteerism and civic participation. The theme for this year’s celebration is: “The Volunteer Factor – Lifting Communities”, acknowledging the exponential impact of volunteers and how their efforts lift the communities in which they live and dedicate their time and talents.

The City of Leduc and Volunteer Leduc will be honouring our local volunteers during NVW at the Volunteer Appreciation Banquet on April 11th.  This event is held as part of NVW each year to recognize the extraordinary and selfless work our local volunteers do and the contributions they make to our community.

During NVW, we encourage all residents to thank the neighbours, family members, co-workers and friends whose collective efforts lift our community up and make it a better place to live, work and play.
