Nominate someone for Leduc’s Influencer Awards

Leduc is home to many talented and enthusiastic young individuals who continuously make a difference in their community. From promoting social causes to advocating for positive change, these young leaders demonstrate drive and commitment that can shape the future.  

If you know a young person between the ages of 17 and 21 who embodies leadership, advocacy, and social investment, now is the time to nominate them for a $1,000 bursary through the City of Leduc’s Influencers program. 

The Influencers awards were created to recognize outstanding young citizens who have made an impact in the community. With a focus on leadership and social responsibility, these awards highlight the bright future of Leduc’s youth and encourage continued positive contributions. 

Each year, up to four deserving recipients are chosen to receive a $1,000 bursary to support their next steps, whether that be furthering their education, pursuing a career, or giving back to their communities in new and exciting ways. The award recipients will be celebrated at Leduc’s annual VolunteerFest event in the fall, a highlight of the city’s volunteer recognition efforts. 

Since its inception in 2022, the Influencers bursary program has awarded 10 young individuals with financial support to help them reach their goals. These bursaries are not just about financial aid—they are a celebration of the community-minded efforts of youth who are making Leduc a better place for all. 

If you know a young leader who is deserving of this recognition, don’t wait to nominate them. The nomination deadline for recognition in 2025 is March 31, and nominations can be submitted online at any time throughout the year.
