Outdoor rink at Leduc Kinsmen Park closed after fire

On Aug. 6, 2023, City of Leduc Fire Services responded to a fire at the outdoor rink in Kinsmen Park around 2:11a.m.  Fire crews were able to quickly put out the fire, but rink boards, asphalt surface, structural steel, and an adjacent port-a-potty were damaged.  

No injuries were sustained during the incident. An investigation to determine the cause of the fire is underway. 

Residents are asked to stay away from the rink. Barricades and signage have been set up to secure the site.
