Off-ramp from QEII to 64 Avenue to close June 19

Thursday, June 15, 2023

The off-ramp that connects to 64 Avenue, by Leduc Towne Square, for motorists travelling northbound on the Queen Elizabeth II Highway will close on June 19, 2023. The existing on/off-ramp will be decommissioned to make way for a new off-ramp that will provide a safer transition when exiting off the QEII. The new off-ramp is anticipated to be open by fall this year.

Information for motorists

  • To access the City of Leduc, take Exit 517 (the exit before the closure) off the QEII onto 50 Avenue to enter the city via Exit 517 which takes motorists to 50 Street. If you miss Exit 517, take the next available off-ramp at Exit 522, which will put you on Airport Road.

The off-ramp construction is part of the 65 Avenue and QEII Interchange Project. The two-year long project will support safety and ease of movement of people and goods upon completion. It will stimulate continued economic development through investment growth, job creation, and diversification in our community.
