Reminder: permit required for fireworks in Leduc

A reminder that the City of Leduc's Fireworks Bylaw requires a permit to use fireworks (consumer, display, or pyrotechnic) within Leduc city limits. This helps to keep our community safe by ensuring fireworks are used by people with proper training and qualifications. 

Permit requirements include: 

• Permit holder is a Fireworks Supervisor or Pyrotechnician
• Written consent from the landowner where fireworks would be set
• Description of fireworks event and site plan

The sale of fireworks is also not permitted in the city. 

To report unsafe use of fireworks, call 911.
