Residents invited to learn about widening of Grant MacEwan Blvd.
From Oct. 5 – 19, 2020, all Leduc residents are invited to participate in an online information session to learn more about the plans to widen Grant MacEwan Boulevard during the 2021 construction season.
Residents are also invited to attend an in-person session with members of Council and the Engineering project team at the Civic Centre on Oct. 15, 2020, from 5 – 8 p.m. Physical distancing and all other appropriate health protocols will be observed.
Grant MacEwan Boulevard is an important and busy roadway in the City of Leduc. Over the years, it has come to see a higher volume of traffic, which it is no longer capable of safely supporting. Starting in spring 2021, it will be widened to four lanes between 50th Avenue and just south of Black Gold Drive. This will ensure it can safely accommodate current and future traffic levels, improve traffic flow and ease traffic congestion, and support the continuous growth of our community.
The City of Leduc encourages all residents to be involved and informed on the city’s development and construction plans, which are intended to grow our community and enhance quality of life for current and future generations.
This virtual session provides background, project information, and detailed drawings (subject to change) for residents to view at their leisure on their own devices. Residents may also submit their questions via an online form.
