Property assessment notices have been mailed

Friday, January 22, 2021

If you own property in the City of Leduc, you should soon receive your 2021 assessment notice in the mail. This assessment notice will show the market value of your property, which will be used to calculate the annual taxes on that property.

This process, which follows guidelines established by the provincial government, helps ensure taxes are distributed in a fair and equitable way where owners of property with similar market values pay similar amounts of property taxes.

Please keep in mind your assessment notice is not a bill. It simply provides the market value of your property. Property taxes, which are calculated using assessed value, are payable to the City. Property tax notices will be send out in May.

An assessment open house will be safely held over the phone on March 18 and March 24 from 1–7 p.m. To speak with the City Assessor, please call the toll-free number 1-844-318-5637 during these dates and times. Due to the current situation with COVID-19 an in-person event will not be held this year; however, residents will be able to speak to a City Assessor through video chat at the Civic Centre during these dates and times.

Please call 780-980-7105 or email propertytaxes@leduc.ca for more information on:

  • Your property assessment and 2021 notice;
  • The complaint process if you do not agree with your property’s assessed value; and
  • If you did not receive your annual assessment notice and need to request a copy.
