Residents invited to participate in annual Pollinator Garden Challenge
Leduc residents are invited to take part in this year’s Pollinator Garden Challenge by creating gardens and landscapes that provide food, water and safe shelter for local pollinators. The challenge will be open until Aug. 31 and all participants will be entered to win a prize.
To participate, simply:
- Register your garden
- Devote some space in your yard or garden to protecting and nurturing local pollinators
- Submit a photo by the end of the season to ecosmart@leduc.ca
The City of Leduc is committed to protecting our natural and built environment and continues to look for ways to champion environmental action. We strive to balance our growth and development with care and respect for our natural environment.
The Pollinator Garden Challenge is a great way to support local pollinators, such as bees, butterflies, moths and hummingbirds. They are an important part of Leduc’s ecosystem and by creating a pollinator garden, residents can help ensure their populations flourish and enhance natural plant biodiversity.
