Personal information

Born and raised Albertan, Glen Finstad and his wife June moved to Leduc in 1981 and quickly became immersed in the community. Glen is a dedicated individual who has been actively involved in the community of Leduc since his arrival in 1981.  His commitment to community organizations and minor sports is evident through his various roles as a parent, coach, and member of the executive.  Glen’s involvement in these activities has allowed him to contribute significantly to the development of the local sports scene.

In addition to community engagements, Glen has also ventured into the business world. He has been employed as a commercial lender, venture capital investor, and business advisor. Over the past 30+ years, he has bought, sold, and started several businesses. His entrepreneurial spirit and experience have given him valuable insights into the world of business ownership.  Glen’s passion for coaching and mentoring other business owners has led him to pursue a career as a Business Broker.  In this role, he assists individuals in achieving their goals and dreams of either owning or selling their businesses.

Glen’s dedication to his community extends beyond his involvement in sports and business.  He was first elected to Leduc City Council in 2010 and is currently serving his fourth term. This extended period of service demonstrates his commitment to giving back to the community that has been so supportive of his family over the years.

Overall, Glen is a multi-faceted individual who combines his love for community engagement, business ownership, and mentoring to make a positive impact on those around him.
