[Re]Connect with your neighbours this summer
Leduc’s Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) team has launched the Good Neighbour initiative for the 2024 season. Now in its twelfth year, the Good Neighbour program brings back popular events for community members to connect such as coffee pop-ups and wee free libraries.
FCSS leads the City’s Good Neighbour initiative each year, which encourages neighbourly behaviour and community building through a number of events and projects throughout the spring, summer and fall.
Residents are invited to connect with their neighbours and take part in any or all of the following:
- Plan a neighbourhood Block Party
- Sign up to become a Block Connector
- Create a Wee Free Library
- Watch for Coffee Pop-Ups in your neighbourhood
- Recognize a Good Neighbour with a greeting card
“Community connection is the foundation of a thriving municipality,” says City of Leduc Mayor Bob Young. “Initiatives like the Good Neighbour program foster a sense of unity and shared responsibility among our residents, which makes our city a vibrant, safe and supportive place to live.”
