Alberta Emergency Alert test set for Nov. 20
At 1:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, an Alberta Emergency Alert (AEA) test will be issued across television, radio, websites, social media, the AEA mobile app and cellphones across the province.
This test alert is a great reminder for Leduc residents to prepare for emergencies while the risk is low so you’re ready to respond when the risk is high.
This includes knowing where to find current, accurate and credible information during an emergency, which is critical to making informed decisions and protecting your family. To prepare now, residents are encouraged to:
- Download the Alberta Emergency Alert app
- Follow the City of Leduc on Facebook and X
- Subscribe to the City of Leduc’s e-news platform
- Build an emergency kit
The AEA test alerts are typically conducted twice a year and help ensure the system is working properly so that Albertans receive life-saving information during actual emergencies.
