Recreation Assistance Programs
Everybody Gets to Play™ is a national initiative to enhance the quality of life for families by increasing access and participation in recreation, athletic and cultural opportunities. Through Everybody Gets to Play™, the city is able to offering the following programs.
The Recreation Assistance and Creative Culture Connections Programs run January 2 – November 30 each year. Applications received in December will be processed in the next calendar year.
City of Leduc's Recreation Assistance Program
The Recreation Assistance Program (RAP) is a subsidy for facility membership and/or programs at the Leduc Recreation Centre. City of Leduc and rural Leduc County residents who can demonstrate financial need are welcome to apply. Verification of income, residency and citizenship is required as part of the application process.
Eligibility:
- You are a City of Leduc or rural Leduc County resident
- Your income falls within our subsidy threshold (see below), and you can provide the most current tax year's Notice of Asssessment, OR
- You are a refugee that arrived within the year and can provide supporting documentation
- You are a new Permanent Resident that arrived within the year and can provide supporting documentation
*Those holding a temporary residence visa/permit in Canada and are not able to submit a current Notice of Assessment are not eligible.

Application forms can also be picked up at the Leduc Recreation Centre or at FCSS (Family and Community Support Services), at the Civic Centre.
MNP - Kicks for Kids
MNP Kicks for Kids is a free drop-in opportunity for youth between the ages of 8-17 years. It's a great way for youth to stay active, have fun, hang out with friends and meet new people.
MNP Kicks for Kids is held at the LRC after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 - 4:30 p.m. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as indoor soccer, lacrosse, ball hockey, basketball, volleyball, badminton and much more.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart - Leduc Chapter
Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a national program that helps kids from ages 4-18 years old to participate in organized sports and recreation. For eligible children, it covers registration, equipment, and/or transportation costs. Through Canadian Tire Jumpstart, some children get the chance to experience a sport for the first time. Others get the boost they need to continue with an activity they love.
Approved children are eligible for a maximum of $300 per funding session (subject to local demands/funding availability). There are two funding session each year; Spring Session (January–June) and Fall Sessions (July-November). Families may apply for funding from both sessions (twice a year).

Creative Culture Connections
Creative Culture Connections (CCC) is an initiative that provides up to $200 of funding for low-income individuals participating in an arts or cultural program. City of Leduc and rural Leduc County residents who can demonstrate financial need are welcome to apply. Verification of income, residency and citizenship is required as part of the application process. Fees that offset administrative costs are not included. Eligibility is the same as for the Recreation Assistance Program (see above).
When can I apply?
The funding session runs Jan. 1 - Dec. 1 of each year. You are encouraged to apply within 30 days of a program beginning.

Healthy Hearts Leduc
Healthy Hearts Leduc is a community initiative to encourage active, healthy lifestyles within Leduc. Healthy Hearts currently sponsors many drop-in programs at the LRC, all available free of charge. In the City Guide, these programs have a Healthy Hearts logo beside them.
