Project REV’N

All motor vehicles in Leduc mus adhere to a maximum limit of 92 decibels at idle and 96 decibels at any speed above idle for exhaust noise. Exceeding this limit may result in a penalty of $250.

In partnership with Leduc RCMP, the City of Leduc runs Project REV’N to enhance community safety and well-being. The project was initiated in July 2022 and is intended to address vehicle speed and noise pollution created by vehicles with modified and/or excessively loud exhaust systems.

Vehicle owners should:

  • Repair modified exhaust systems
  • Avoid altering factory-issued parts on vehicles that increase sound
  • Ensure their vehicle is in compliance with the provincial Traffic Safety Act, which also lays out traffic-related charges and penalties.
