Home Alone - FCSS Workshop
Developed by Leduc County FCSS, Home Alone is a program designed to start the conversation between a parent/guardian and a child about the child’s emotional and physical readiness to be home alone successfully. This condensed virtual workshop will help prepare both the child and parent with the basic skills and information to be safe and responsible when home alone. Topics covered in this program are exploring feelings and readiness, emergencies/ calling 911, back up plans and scenario planning. The Home Alone Program is recommended for children ages 9-12, class capacity will not exceed more than 10 students.
Parents/guardians are responsible for :
1) Providing supervision during the entire duration of the program.
2) Assisting the students to complete an online evaluation in order to receive the course completion certificates.
