Dixon Ward Jr.Former National Hockey League player Dixon Ward Jr. was born in Edmonton in 1968 and grew up in Leduc, playing with Leduc Minor Hockey from 1974 to 1985. He played for the Red Deer Rustlers from 1986 to 1988, scoring 131 points in 51 games. Harry SandersBorn and raised in Calgary, Harry Sanders was already an avid rugby player when he moved to Leduc in 1979. Seeing potential for the sport in the community, he established a local men's rugby team. He recruited players, registered with the Edmonton Rugby Union and scheduled training facilities. The first LA Crude rugby team, captained by Harry, played its inaugural season in 1980. - View full bio - |
Lindsey MixGrowing up in Leduc, Lindsey Mix (Bergevin) was involved in plenty of activities, from softball and soccer to dance and competitive gymnastics. She won several provincial gold medals in gymnastics before she joined the track team at the Leduc Composite High School in 2005-06. Liz McBlainBorn in Indonesia in 1948, Liz McBlain taught at Leduc's Willow Park School from 1986 to 2015.
