Safe Sport Workshop with Allison Forsyth

Leduc County and the City of Leduc are bringing a safe sport workshop to the region. The safe sport workshop will focus on what sport organizations can do to prevent and protect their athletes, volunteers and organizations from bullying and assault. 

The workshop will include information on best practices such as processes, procedures and policies that can be implemented into organizations to ensure safe workspaces. 

Date: All day Saturday, October 14, 2023
Location: Coast Nisku Inn
Cost: $25/person - limit 2 people per organization
Who: Sporting groups and non-profit organizations

Allison Forsyth is a retired Canadian Olympian who started her skiing career at just 5 years old, joining the national team at 17. Living through her own sexual abuse in the sport system, Allison became and advocate for change and has used her voice, skills and passion to lead critical changes in the Canadian sport system.
