William F. Lede Park

Located next to the Leduc Recreation Centre, William F. Lede Park is Leduc's most popular outdoor space. At over 200 acres, the park has fields for numerous sports including baseball and softball, football, rugby, and soccer.

You'll also find an outdoor fitness area, playgrounds, picnic areas, and an off-leash dog park. The various trails in William F. Lede Park are popular with runners, rollerbladers, and connect to the Stone Barn & Cultural Village. 

Telford Lake is right next door, bringing opportunities for canoeing, kayaking and bird-watching. 

History of William F. Lede Park

William Lede was the owner of Leduc Construction (now Ledcor Group) in 1947 and prepared the drilling site for Imperial Oils Leduc No. 1. Lede was elected to Leducs City Council in 1956 and served four terms as Mayor, from 1968 until his death in 1980.
