Overview:
Full reconstruction of the road and City of Leduc utilities including:
- Removal and replacement of the sanitary and waterlines, including laterals to property line.
- Removal and replacement of concrete curbs and sidewalks.
- Full-depth road reconstruction.
- Surface removals will likely commence in June 2021 to permit utilitiy work in July and August during the Ecole Leduc Junior High School summer break.
- The road reconstruction will follow and continue into the fall.

Remaining east sidewalk concrete repairs are anticipated to occur this week, weather pending. Landscaping is also expected to begin this week, and conclude after the east sidewalk is finished. |
| August 19, 2021 | On-time | Concrete work for the cub and gutter and west sidewalk is complete. Paving is scheduled for this week, with landscaping and east sidewalk to follow. |
| August 11, 2021 | On-time | Concrete work for curb and gutter and the west sidewalk is expected to be complete this week. Paving is tentatively scheduled for next week, following a gravel touch-up. The east sidewalk spot repairs will likely occur after paving. |
| August 4, 2021 | On-time | Concrete forming and pouring is taking place this week, starting with the east curb and gutter. The west curb and gutter, and west separate sidewalk, will follow. Additional gravel work to take place next week in preparation for paving. |
| July 28, 2021 | On-time | Subgrade cement stabilization is complete. Granular base course on road and sidewalk is currently underway and is expected to be ready for concrete by the end of this week. Concrete work is anticipated to start next week. |
| July 21, 2021 | On-time | Underground work is complete. Surface work is scheduled to begin late this week with subgrade stabilization, which will be followed by gravel next week. Concrete work is expected to begin in the next week or two. |

| June 24, 2021 | On-time | Surface removals are underway, and replacement of water and sanitary main lines/services at the north end (near 46 Avenue) have begun. Some homes are on a temporary water supply and will receive direct notice of any anticipated water outages. Road closure is anticipated to extend to Black Gold Drive next week. |
| June 16, 2021 | On-time | Work is scheduled to begin the week of June 21, 2021, with surface removals. 48 Street will be closed between 45 and 46 Avenues. Temporary water service will be set up for affected residents in preparation for upcoming sanitary and water line replacement. The following week, the road closure will extend from Black Gold Drive to 46 Avenue until the end of August. Residents directly impacted were provided notice with details from the contractor this week. |
| June 10, 2021 | Scheduled | Work is schedued to begin the week of June 21, 2021. 48th Street will be closed between 46th and 45th Avenues as excavation of the road starts. The following week, the road will be closed between Black Gold Drive and 46th Avenue for all of July and August. |
| May 27, 2021 | Scheduled | Project has been awarded. Additional information will follow prior to construction after a start-up meeting is held with the contractor. |
