Alton Drive Area Roadwork
Roads in the Lakeside Estates and Windrose area have been identified for reconstruction or overlay this season to ensure their continued stability and safety for years to come. Permanent speed tables will also be placed on Alton Drive north of Black Gold Drive.
Reconstructions:
- Alton Drive (between Black Gold Drive and railroad tracks)
- Scheduled when school is out for summer break, includes curb & monowalk replacement
Surface Overlays:
- Windrose Drive (between Grant MacEwan Blvd. And Willis Crescent)
- Includes minor spot repairs to curb and sidewalk
- Alton Drive (between railroad tracks and Windrose Drive)
- Includes minor spot repairs to curb and sidewalk
- Alton Drive (between 50 Avenue and Black Gold Drive)
- Includes minor spot repairs to curb, sidewalks, crossings; and permanent speed table construction
- Alexander Drive (between Alton Drive and Alpaugh Crescent)
- Allindale Place
There may be temporary periods of impacts to street parking, waste collection, mail delivery, and bussing in order to complete the work as efficiently as possible. Residents living in the area are encouraged to please keep an eye out for signage and additional details from the contractor throughout the season.

Project Update:
June 29, 2022 | Ongoing - Concrete repairs have begun on Alexander Drive and Allindale Place, and are anticipated to be complete next week. Repairs will then begin on Windrose and Alton Drive south of the CP tracks. Concrete removals for Alton Drive where reconstruction is taking place (between Black Gold Drive and the CP tracks) will also begin next week. |
Feb. 23, 2022 | Scheduled - Project currently in the design and procurement phase. Additional information will follow prior to construction. |
