Overview:
The City is installing two drawdown wells at the Elks Park Former Reclaimed Landfill, and at the City’s Former Public Works Main Yard and Shop in Lede Park.
- The purpose of the drawdown wells is to support remedial action and on-going risk management at the sites, where contamination of the groundwater has been identified.
- The drawdown wells will be tied into the Alberta Capital Region Wastewater Commission for treatment until effective remediation has been deemed complete by Alberta Environment and Parks.
