Traffic Signal Systems

New traffic signal systems will be installed at:

50th Street and Athapaskan Drive
- Jointly funded by the City and adjacent developer
50th Street and Bella Coola Drive
- Includes minor adjustment to the lane configuration

Sept. 29, 2022	Athapaskan is complete and operational, Bella Coola will be active by mid-October
Sept. 8, 2022	Lights have been installed at Athapaskan, and will be commissioned in the next two weeks. Lights will be installed at Bella Coola Dr. in the next week, with commisioning following Atahapaskan.
Aug. 25, 2022	Line painting for the new lanes is complete. Electrical work is ongoing, with the lights expected to be raised in the next week.
Aug. 12, 2022	Pole bases have been installed. Line painting at 50 Street and Atahapaskan will be done on Saturday, with the lights expected to be installed the week of August 22.
June 29, 2022	Scheduled - Work will begin on traffic signals at Athapaskan Drive in early August, followed by Bella Coola Drive.
Feb. 17, 2022	Scheduled - Project currently in the design and procurement phase. Additional information will follow prior to construction.
