South Telford Roadwork
Utility line work is being completed to build a new water line and increase the firefighting capabilities of the water distribution system with the addition of four hydrants. This project will add new water line on 46 Ave between 45 Street and Lede Park, and on 45 St from East Elementary School to 46 Ave and connect to the existing system to ensure their continued stability and safety for years to come
To minimize disruption to the school, work is scheduled to begin in the summer.
There may be temporary periods of impacts to water service, street parking, mail delivery, and bussing in order to complete the work as efficiently as possible. Residents in the area are encouraged to please keep an eye out for signage and additional details from the contractor throughout the season.

Project Update
Detours and closures
July 24: 46 Ave will be closed between 44 Street and 45 Street will be closed for approximately two weeks.
Starting week of July 17, roads will be closed to begin construction.

| Aug. 31, 2023 | Paving has started and all gravel patches will be paved. |
| Aug. 23, 2023 | The water line work is completed and testing has passed. Paving has been delayed due to weather and will be occuring shortly. |
| Aug. 2, 2023 | All water lines have been installed and pressure testing is occuring. Temporary water will be removed shortly and paving is expected to occur within the next two weeks. |
| July 26, 2023 | Phase 2 is underway and the watermain is currently being installed on 46 Avenue between 44 Street and 45 Street. |
| July 19, 2023 | Work is progressing west and will begin phase two which is the installation of watermain on 46 Avenue between 44 Street and 45 Street. The road closure plan has been updated and notices will be hand delivered to residents. 46 Avenue will be closed between 44 Street and 45 Street starting on July 24 and will be closed for approximately two weeks. |
| July 12, 2023 | Work is scheduled to begin on the week of July 17, there will be intermittent closure to the road way and some parking may be affected. Notices will be hand delivered to affected residents this week outlining specific closures. |
